Original piston as disassembled from LZ18 of the 1974 Datsun 160j SSS KP710 Violet Turbo
The piston shown below was taken out in the 90s and had a new set duplicated in 2618 alloy together with an Australian Argo steel rods(popular in the 90s) set.
I have not been able to get any information on the piston/rings as originally fitted although the Japanese LZ manual below(of a later LZ model) do show a 2-ring version. This being a turbocharged application, the valve reliefs are a lot shallower.
The rods fitted are Nissan/Datsun stock variety.
